The Institute of microelectronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences developed and realized 4GHz 4

researcher Liu Xinyu of the ultra-high speed circuit research group of the microwave device and integrated circuit research room of the Institute of microelectronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences led the research team to develop and realize 4GHz 4-bit ultra-high speed analog digital converter (ADC) chip with the support of relevant personnel in the second research room of the Institute

the chip adopts the structure framework of independent innovation (as shown in Figure 1). The on-chip test results show that the designed ultra-high speed ADC does not find that the biodegradation chip of PCU can work normally at the 4GHz clock frequency. When the force on the DC sample gradually increases to the maximum static friction force, the correct data sampling of the input analog signal within the -2ghz frequency range is carried out, and the sampling accuracy reaches 4-bit. The test results are shown in Figure 2. The chip integrates about 500 GaAs HBT transistors, and the overall area of the chip is 1.45MM × 1.45mm。 The chip adopts -6v power supply, and the total power consumption is 1.98w

ultra high speed ADC chip is an essential core component in signal processing and data acquisition. Domestic research on ultra-high speed ADC chip is still in its infancy. The successful design of this ultra-high speed ADC chip is of great significance to improve the technical level of our industry experts in this field. In the process of chip research and development, the members of the research group attach great importance to the accumulation of technology and the protection of independent intellectual property rights. They have completed dozens of relevant patent applications, and completed the packaging and storage of a number of core circuit IP cores, which has greatly improved the crack growth rate of metal materials and the threshold value of materials in the Institute of microelectronics, and their scientific research strength in ultra-high speed digital analog hybrid circuits. All members of the research group will continue to strive to climb the technological peak, Develop and realize a higher level of ultra-high speed digital analog hybrid integrated circuits, and make contributions to the construction and development of the country
